Land Management

Kalkadoon PBC plays an active role in ensuring the protection, preservation, rehabilitation and sustainable use of our Country.

We have formal and informal protocols and agreements with mining companies and land management agencies on when and how we should be consulted and involved.

This includes:

  • land use planning and management strategies and policies related to Cultural Heritage
  • development proposals,
  • proposed use of land and natural resources,
  • research, collection and use of Indigenous Ecological Knowledge,
  • related training, employment and business opportunities.

The Whole of Country plan articulates our vision and priorities for the management of Country.
